Jasper, Alberta, as seen from the Tramway to the top of a nearby mountain...

Panning to the left...

Panning still more--to the west...

Rocks, at the top of the mountain...

Near Mt. Edith Cavell, a babling brook...

Mt. Edith Cavell, in the sunlight...

To the right of Mt. Edith Cavell, Angel Glacier...

Angel Glacier melts to form this lake, next to another glacier. You can see this glacier's life story in the contour lines...

The lake is a little chilly...

The lake and the glacier are receding, leaving this morraine...

But life is returning to the morraine...

Further south, this is Athabasca Falls...

Not Niagra, perhaps, but impressive enought...

Leading to the Athabasca river, below...

Further downstream, the Athabasca picks up some more glacier water...

...forming quite a respectable river...

It's certainly bigger than the Colorado (most of the time)...

The Athabasca from the Tramway. Jasper is on the left. The islands from the previous picture are in the center...

A forest scene on the way to the glaciers...

Trees and rocks, near Mt. Edith Cavell...

Strangely carved dirt...

Downtown Jasper...
